be the rain...

weekend digs were productive and knackering... weather was crazy and went from rain to bright sunshine all weekend. got a bunch done with the rain i had wished for...just want it to stop again now!!!? bluebells are out and woods are finally going green though which looks magnificent ...love the woods!x

frost damage was really bad this year and even the rain hasn't helped much as yet. we used to do this at sandhills and it used to work well so inspired by catty woods i thought i'd try it again. looks pretty nice too? people sometimes ask me what they can do up the trails...so if anyone fancies it feel free to cover over anything that looks horrible (and especially crumbly stuff) with grass off the farmers track behind our hut.

slow thaw...

the temperature has finally started to rise and the woods are slowly thawing out and revealing a fair bit of damage. we had a very hard winter this year but many more people digging. with kag being in new zealand the past few winters have been pretty quiet up the woods, but not so much this year. it's amazing how much more gets done with a few people stoked on building their own fun. plenty left to do but the woods will be green in instead of frozen soon?
