one of the original a.l.v crew and all around nice guy ben houghton sadly left us 7 days ago today.hard to believe that at the same time i was taking the pictures in the post bellow only a short distance away ben's life came to an all too premature end.he will be sadly missed by his many friends at a.l.v
cold and wet in the wood.even fleur didn't want to move far from the fire.she sat right next to it most of the day.worked on the 3rd lip/bowl abit more and filled out the last roller in the triple some more too.
me and kag pulled the danger tree down.it came down a lot easier than we were expecting,we basically pushed and pulled it down by hand with no actual sawing involved.because it came down so it easy it fell sooner than we expected and so we accidentally messed up the hut abit.we fixed it up again for now but maybe time to build the megahut?!! i say the tree came down easy... but when it actually fell it got caught on another tree, and that was kind of a nightmare.glad it's done though!
plenty of leaves off the trees now.wood was pretty dry today considering the amount of rain we've had.the dead tree that holds the hut up has took a battering in last weeks wind.is proper in 2 bits at the bottom now and needs cutting down before it booyakas the landings. sky went mad as the sun went down tonight, purples and blues.had a couple of deer waiting for me as i left the wood, was too dark to get a photo though.was pretty cool seeing them.
