has been a fun few days, weathers being amazing. heavy session went down in the woods last night, and they need some love again now, but rain is due. toms little girl ruby is rad. she is the first girl to ever ride our trails and the first person to ride them without brakes!!!

gave fleur her summer haircut, took part in a calf assembly and had an ace day in the woods until the moon came out.

last couple of days...

spent the last couple of days resurfacing the run-up with dan, chris and stevo. stuffs looking smooth now and not far off rideable. good to see kag back in the woods today. summer starts here.

just me and fleur today... resurfaced another lip and finally finished reshaping and resurfacing the tree berm which is steeper and smooth as now. weather should be getting better next week? might even ride my bike!!!?

was a lovely sunny evening in the woods. had a quick dig with string and then dan and chris popped up too. new landing is looking good and have pretty much finished the roller after it. long and low to finish now and then new big lip for last big hit. woods are going green now and i'd rather be here than in any skatepark or gym. just saying like! ;D

weekend...

had a few sunny spells over the weekend which made a refreshing change after the recent never ending rain deluge. the whole back/top of the new hip landing slid off at some point during the last weeks rain so me, danny, jones and string spent a lot of time fixing and building that up again. is a lot better for it though and is now real fat and strong. did a few hours with chris yesterday and we started to look at the new long and low. henry or 'el diablo' and fleur hung out too! 'the devil' as dan has named him also found the deer bones and had a good munch!

graeme is a legend...

if you grew up skating in the nineties like me you couldn't help but bump into graeme. he is a proper legend and i'd say the majority of skaters in the u.k have met him, all over the u.k graeme would turn up. the story in this vid of his board getting rolled under a bus was actually my old mate foz who was also responsible for getting graeme drunk for the 1st and possibly last time! graeme grew up in a childrens home in burton and has asperger's syndrome, but i think it says alot about skateboarding how he was so accepted by everyone and never bullied. everyone loved him! this made my day...

had a good bank holiday up the woods... saw the triumphant return of jonsey which was rad, cooked up some focked up curried haddock on the fire. jones and danny started covering the hut in felt, and as you can see it looks super good. spent some time stacking up the new hip, am starting to like the look of it now after much head-scratching! was a lovely evening today which is rare at the moment, so used it to do a couple of hours solo on the landing and it's getting there now. plenty still to do though! wood is getting green again and my back feels easier so am stoked, seemed to fix it by digging!!!

more bluebells than usual in our woods this year i reckon. few photos of the new link between the lines. this hip still needs alot of work but is looking more 'on' now after me and dan spent hours trying to figure and visualise it out. it runs down to a pump bump down into a very long and lowish into a what will be a new lip and into the big ender landing. plenty to do and i've got teenage mutant ninja turtle of the back. woods are soaked and more rain is forecast.
