weekendigs...

woods are crazily dry all of a sudden, must be a combination of the rain easing off and the wind not doing so. couple of pics of the landing i widened last week, should of done it years ago?!!! you can see strins new lip in the 4th photo below. i spent most of the weekend working on putting some shape into the bottom of the new hip landing and sticking the clay onto the new berm. the woods are bare and the trees have taken a real battering but it feels like maybe spring is peeking around the corner?

Week one

Well, I'm already glad I came out again this year. Had a rad first week, shame a few people are injured (Chris and Adam and others) but I've had the chance to hang and ride with, and watch some crazy good riding going off....here are a couple of examples of Ryan Lloyd and Luke Peeters doing what they do! Going super high with heaps of style. Kickouts, tables, turndowns and 3's a plenty, who needs anything else!?!? Oh hang on - Luge-ing was loadsa fun too! Jack's edit will be out before the end of this month - can't wait! >

more windswept...

last weeks storms were pretty bad but was actually really lovely day in the wood on sunday. these red deer were hanging around all weekend, i got a pretty good video as i left i will upload. huge pine down the bottom of the wood has been ripped from its roots, took a few out next to it too...reckon we had at least 80mph winds. chris stacked up the new link with help from tim, strin worked on his line and i've finished widening the 2nd big landing on righties i started last week but i didn't get any photos yet. wished i'd widened that landing years ago now...jump now looks so much better i was shocked!!!

windswept...

real windy weekend, quite scary in the woods at times and plenty of looking upwards to check what i was standing under...usually not good. nice one to chris and tim for stacking the new hip landing sunday. i've started widening the 2nd big landing and did a spot of landscaping and made some steps.

harumphhh...

hadn't rode my bike for months, had around 36 hours without rain, decided to go for it, got there and the track wasn't too bad considering the continuous deluge of the last few months, managed half a lap before it started pissing it down again. yes rain.

the winter of continuous autumnal precipitation...

and still falls the rain! everything is soaked but on the whole the woods are holding up pretty good. i'm pretty sure the horses were standing like this to shelter from the wind and rain, feisty horse on the left here taking the brunt of wind and rain for the rest of horse squad...
